The Signal corrects errors publicly and promptly. This page explains how.
How corrections are made
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed.
- Every correction to a published article is logged in a dated note at the point in the article where the error appeared, visible to all readers — not just fixed silently.
- Significant errors (a wrong figure, a misattributed quote, an incorrect claim about a model or company) are noted even after the underlying text is fixed, so readers who saw the original version can see what changed.
- Minor copy-editing (typos, formatting) is not logged as a correction.
